
Danielle B. Baranda is a lawyer and writer with an extensive background in journalism and legal research. She attended journalism school at the University of Santo Tomas (UST), where she finished her undergraduate degree with honors in 2018. She interned at the Manila Bulletin before kickstarting her career in content writing and contributing to several international media publications. In 2020, she pursued her Juris Doctor degree at UST’s Faculty of Civil Law and graduated in 2025. She passed the bar examinations in the same year.
While in law school, Atty. Baranda formed part of UST Civil Law’s legislative and executive board. She also formed part of UST’s bar operations and consistently assisted in editing their baristas’ annual “Golden Notes” for labor and criminal law. During her sophomore year, she served as the Chairperson of the student council’s Public Relations Committee. The following year, she oversaw the Labor Law Committee for the 2022 Bar Examinations. Prior to working at CNVD, Atty. Baranda was affiliated as a staff member of incumbent Associate Justice Jhosep Y. Lopez of the Supreme Court. Currently, she primarily handles labor, family, and civil cases for the firm.
